Design Brief:
To create a homely kitchen and open-plan living area that celebrates the property’s heritage and beautiful views. Incorporate similar cabinets in the kitchen area to what the client has in their home town Melbourne Australia, using mid and dark grey units but with light oak interior cabinets and drawer boxes to compliment the solid wood herringbone floors and exposed bespoke oak beams. They wanted to replicate elements from their farmhouse in Australia.
The Task:
During the creation stage, we organised several Zoom meetings which had its challenges straight away due to the clients living in Australia and the different time zones, It was either very early in the morning or the later part of the evening GMT. Our director Matthew had a complete set of samples boxed and shipped to Australia to help the client choose what colours and textures they preferred and we also had our area rep for Caesarstone organise an appointment for the client with their division in Melbourne to choose the worktops to compliment the kitchen finishes. Once we had everything set in place we had their new kitchen delivered and set up a live stream for the installation so they could oversee the complete installation in their own time.
