Our clients wanted a clean minimal shaker kitchen with a separate coffee station. Even though the space was rather large and the rear of the new extension being south facing the kitchen was located more towards the middle of the property. Creating the correct balance of units and lighting was critical.
The Brief:
A simple but classical shaker-style kitchen, darker cabinets were the customer’s preference with a large island, the bigger the better. They wanted as many drawers, interior storage solutions and waste areas all hidden out of sight.
The Task:
In this kitchen we made sure every interior had its own individuality and separate purpose, providing a purpose-built larder to provide symmetry against the oven housing units beside, making sure each door position was in line with the next unit, believe it or not, this isn’t easy to create unless you go down the route of built to order that we offer all clients. The units under the stairs provided a coffee station and a low-level dry food store. As the client had a large island at the top of her wishlist we opted for extra deep drawers up to 720mm in depth, here you’ll find oak interior cutlery organisers, plate wracks, pan/pot dividers, and even a hidden plinth water bowl for their furry friends. The induction hob and down draft extractor were also in the centre of the island. Using decorative T&G panels on either side provided a feature to appreciate when entering the kitchen from the hallway.

Clients Review
“I wanted a modern yet traditional look for my new Kitchen. I had a particular colour in mind however everywhere I went they didn’t have the correct colour door. It was a big investment and I wanted to get it right. Matt offered a paint-to-order finish and was affordable against the known high-street chains. It was a slightly longer lead time than you would expect being made to order but it arrived in the 8 weeks it was estimated. I am over the moon with my new Kitchen. The quality is superb. Matt was great with ideas while taking my own requirements into the planning. Great service from start to finish.”
